You can use this service through a mobile app. You can also use public Wi-Fi for this. Internet telephony is called in conjunction with Internet Protocol, which is called Voice Over Internet Protocol (VoIP) Technology.
On the launch of this service, Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited Chairman Anupam Srivastava said, BSNL is the first telecom company in the country to introduce Internet telephony. We are hoping the young will join us after the service starts and they will be able to make voice calls through internet data. Not only this, the benefits of this service will also go abroad. Anupam Srivastava further said that so far 4,000 users have booked for this service.
The government recently instructed that telecom license holders in the country can start the service of full-fledged Internet telephony, not companies like Whatsapp, Google doo. These companies also provide an app based video or voice calling service, which the government will soon crack down on. It is clear from the fact that the areas where good internet service is available in the country, people of the wings can avail the benefits of the service.
